GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  I have approved the selection of CWO2 William J. Callen of 1st Battalion, 8th Marines, 2D Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, MARFORCOM, as the recipient of the CY2021 Hulbert Trophy for Outstanding Leadership.  All nominees had exemplary records which indicated noteworthy leadership, courage and technical and tactical expertise.  As expected, the competition was exceptionally keen.
