GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. MAG-14 will host the VMU TTF 1-22 from 3 May to 5 May 2022 at the Cherry Point Inn aboard MCAS Cherry Point, NC. Travel days for the TTF are 2 May and 6 May 2022. In-briefs on 3 May will be held in the Cherry Point Inn conference area, Building 487 Madison Drive MCAS Cherry Point at 0800. Outbrief will be scheduled for 5 May at 1500; times are subject to change based on the progress of agenda items.
2. The purpose of this TTF is to support the VMU MQ-9 transition and the ordered divestment of the RQ-21. In a DOTMLPF-C setting, the TTF will perform planning to synchronize actions to transition VMU-2 from the RQ-21 and redesignate it in Second Quarter FY23 to VMU/T-2 as the MQ-9 Fleet Replacement Squadron. Additionally, the TTF will plan and collaborate on the formation of the MQ-9 Maintenance Training Unit to be established Fourth Quarter FY23.
3. The TTF is a working group meeting. Addressees are requested to the appropriate personnel from respective commands are prepared and empowered to support information requirements and execution planning.
4. Advance preparation and input for critical tasks and paths are essential to the success of the TTF. The process will be managed by HQMC, DC AVN. Inputs for agenda items are asked for NLT 8 April 2022 and briefs for the TTF are requested to the TTF lead office NLT COB, 27 April 2022. Issue sheets will be used to identify areas that require discussion and/or decisions to support policy, resources and unresolved items that support critical paths. Issue sheet format will be submitted identifying a brief description of the problem, recommended solution, supporting agencies, resources required, start/end dates, Office of Primary Responsibility (OPR) and linkage/impact to other tasks.
5. Administration:
5.a. RSVP: This TTF has been planned using the current Department of Defense standards concerning fiscal responsibility. In order to reduce overall cost, commands must only send essential personnel. Commands are asked to RSVP their attendees to MGySgt R.E. Seeley/email: richard.e.seeley@usmc.mil NLT COB, 27 April 2022.
5.b. Funding is the responsibility of individual commands.
5.c. Uniform for the conference shall be either seasonal MARPAT Utilities or flight suits for Marine Corps personnel and khakis or Navy Working Uniform (NWU) for Navy personnel. Business casual attire is appropriate for civilian attendees.
5.d. Check-in begins on day 1 (3 May) at 0730.
