GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  Purpose.  This message announces the 2022 Modern Day Marine (MDM) exposition, taking place from 10-12 May 2022 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center (WEWCC) in Washington, D.C.
2.  Background.  MDM exposition is an enterprise-level industry forum at which vendors are invited to show their products and services in a manner that provides Marine Corps leadership, requirements and procurement personnel, and prospective users of products and services with a general preview of the kinds of products that may be procured in the future.  The venue is an opportunity to exhibit and discuss various scientific, technical, or professional matters that are relevant to the mission of the Marine Corps.  MDM is considered a non-DOD event and is not hosted by the Marine Corps.  MDM is co-hosted by non-federal entities; the Marine Corps League (MCL) and the Marine Corps Association (MCA).  The co-sponsors designed the MDM event with the purpose of transforming service priorities into future force capabilities.  This is accomplished through interaction between U.S. defense manufacturers and private-sector U.S. companies with service leadership and Marines of all ranks and occupational backgrounds.  MDMis an annual three-day professional networking and education event that is open to the entire force.  Registration is open at www.marinemilitaryexpos.com and Marines must register to attend the event.
