GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  Purpose.  To announce the winner of the 4th annual Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC) Exceptional Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) Victim Advocate (VA) of the Year Award.
2.  Background.  Across the Marine Corps, more than 1,300 uniformed and civilian SAPR VAs stand ready 24/7/365 to support and advocate for those who experience sexual assault.  The HQMC Exceptional SAPR VA of the Year Award recognizes an outstanding SAPR VA who supports the program’s overall services and prevention efforts ⁠ with energy, conviction, and commitment.
3.  Congratulations to SSgt Stephanie Nikolaisen from 2nd Marine Logistics Group on being selected as the 2021 winner of the Exceptional SAPR VA of the Year Award.
4.  SSgt Stephanie Nikolaisen has been a SAPR VA since 2013.  SSgt Stephanie Nikolaisen established and maintained a high caliber SAPR program which supported the Marines and Sailors of 2nd Marine Logistics Group.  She provided the required training, coordinated awareness events, participated in panels to support newly trained SAPR VA classes, and volunteered to cover cases while other SAPR VAs were out of the area to ensure the continued care of Marines.
5.  All nominees are commended for their outstanding service and commitment to the SAPR Program.
6.  The winner and other nominees will be featured on the HQMC Marine Corps Community Services website and social media.
7.  This MARADMIN is cancelled 1 September 2022.
