GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  On behalf of The United States Marine Corps, I wish the men and women of our Hospital Corps a happy 124th birthday.  As the largest and most decorated rating in the Navy, your continued service is a source of tremendous inspiration and it is a privilege to serve as your Commandant.
2.  From hospitals and clinics at home, to distant battlefields abroad, Hospital Corpsmen have served with the utmost courage, fidelity, and professionalism.  Your efforts impact the lives of thousands of people when they are most in need.  The care you provide our Marines, in combat and in garrison, reflects your great devotion to duty.  As you reflect upon your heritage, know that Marines around the globe salute the courage and sacrifice of the Hospital Corps.
3.  Celebrate your heritage knowing that your selfless dedication to country, families, and the Naval Service make a profound difference.  Wake up every day and earn the title "Doc" just as those who have gone before you.  Our entire Marine Corps family thanks you for your continued service and devotion.
