SUBJ/1ST MARINE LOGISTICS GROUP 75TH ANNIVERSARY//
GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  On behalf of the entire Marine Corps family, it is with great pleasure that I congratulate the Marines and Sailors of the 1st Marine Logistics Group (1st MLG) on your 75th anniversary.  Since your activation on 1 July 1947 as the 1st Combat Service Group, you provided a ready and highly skilled source of sustained combat service support to troops in Korea, Vietnam, Kuwait, Somalia, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
2.  The Marines and Sailors of 1st MLG have built a longstanding tradition of rising to any challenge in any clime or place.  Those serving today continue that tradition of excellence and answer our Nation’s call with the same skill and professionalism as their predecessors.
3.  As you celebrate your honored history, know that we are proud of your achievements, grateful for your diligence and proficiency, and join you in celebrating 75 years of exceptional service.
