GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. This MARADMIN announces the 2022 League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) National Convention and Exposition from 25-29 July 2022 at 100 Convention Boulevard, San Juan, Puerto Rico 00907.
2. The LULAC Federal Training Institute (FTI) is committed to providing quality educational opportunities to develop and enable participants to realize their potential by strengthening their knowledge, skills, and professional competencies. FTI provides continuing education by expanding opportunities for personal growth and fostering the development and dissemination of public policies and social change activities.
3. The Opportunity, Diversity, and Inclusion Branch (MPE) will sponsor 13 Marine attendees’ conference/registration fees and all related travel expenses. Commanders are encouraged to authorize temporary additional duty for Marines, civilian Marines, and Sailors who are attached to their units. All Marine Corps funded participation must be coordinated through MPE. Rental cars are not authorized.
4. Requests to participate in this event should be emailed to the organizational mailbox MPE_Outreach@usmc.mil, Marc Sheppard(marc.sheppard@usmc.mil), and Staff Sergeant Anthony Quinones(anthony.quinones@usmc.mil) via your Officer-in-Charge and include the following information: name, rank, unit, email, EDIPI, and duty station.
5. The uniform of the day for Marines attending the conference is Service “C” with ribbons.
6. LULAC is a non-federal entity wholly independent of the Marine Corps. More information can be found on the LULAC website at www.lulac.org.
7. This MARADMIN is applicable to the Marine Corps Total Force.
