1.  On behalf of the United States Marine Corps, I would like to thank the members of the Navy Medical Department for 180 years of commitment, professionalism, and continued dedicated service.
2.  Since 31 August 1842, the department's officers and enlisted Sailors have shown unparalleled dedication and sacrifice to ensure the Marine Corps is ready to fight and take on any mission in any clime and place.  As we ready ourselves for the many challenges ahead, we take great comfort in knowing that the Navy Medical Department will remain by our side as it has always done.
