GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. Situation. Joint-service professional development opportunities for enlisted Marines are limited. The Marine Corps has a controlled number of seats for the United States Air Force Senior Noncommisioned Officer Academy (AFSNCOA). This academy is located at Gunter Annex, Maxwell Air Force Base (AFB), Alabama. The AFSNCOA is an intensive five-week course comprised of the following core areas: Leadership, Culture, Problem Solving, Mission. During the course, students will be required to read and write extensively as well as public speaking.
2. Mission. The Director, Marine Corps Senior Enlisted Academy (MCSEA) will manage the quotas and coordinate the attendance of qualified Marines to AFSNCOA.

3.A. Due to limited allocations, packages will be considered on a first come first serve basis. The 23A course will only have 2 available seats. The Marine Corps has five per class. The respective course completion codes must be reflected in Marine Corps Total Force System (MCTFS) prior to student nomination. Marine Corps Force (MARFOR) G-3 will submit packages.
3.A.1. Each MARFOR will have one allocation available

3.A.2. If a Marine is outside one of the above commands, send nomination to Deputy Director for consideration.
3.B. Funding is available through Training and Education Command (TECOM) Worldwide Travel (WWT). The MCSEA will coordinate student funding for the course through TECOM. The student’s parent command is responsible for rental car funding.
3.C. The MARFOR shall nominate Marines in the rank of master sergeant and first sergeant to attend the course.
3.D. Course Prerequisites.
3.D.1. Nominees must have completed the Senior Enlisted Joint Professional Military Education II (57x), accessed at https:(slash)(slash)jkodirect.jten.mil/. Nominated first sergeant and master sergeants must be PME complete for grade.
4. Administration and Logistics
4.A. The following information must be submitted for consideration of attendance at the AFSNCOA.
4.A.1. Course number.
4.A.2. Last name, First name, Middle Initial, Electronic Data Interchange Personal Identifier, and Military Occupational Specialty.
4.A.3. Grade and date of rank.
4.A.4. MCTFS conformation of the prerequisites listed in paragraph 3.D.1.
4.B. MARFOR G-3s will submit nominees directly to the Director, MCSEA: MCU_seniorenlistedacademy@usmcu.edu, ATTN: Director.
4.C. Deputy Director, MCSEA will coordinate student registration with AFSNCOA.
4.D. Lodging. All attendees are required to stay at the Bachelor Enlisted Quarters, Gunter Annex, Maxwell AFB, Alabama.
4.E. Messing. All attendees are authorized Proportional Meal Rate (PMR) and incidental expenses.
4.F. Orders. Parent commands are responsible for proper orders preparation. Indicate orders are reporting orders, government quarters available, and government messing is not available.
4.G. Reporting. All approved students will check-in on the respective report date to the lodging office at Gunter Annex, Building 1017, Maxwell AFB, Alabama. Attendees will receive further guidance upon check-in.
4.H. Uniform requirement. Will be provided via separate correspondence.
