GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  28 November 2022 marks the 247th birthday of the United States Navy Chaplain Corps.  Throughout our history as a Corps, chaplains have served with Marines in every theater of war and in garrison, faithfully strengthening the souls of Marines, Sailors, and their families.  In every challenge our Corps faces today, and in whatever perils we may face in the future, Navy chaplains and religious program specialists will be there.  They wear our uniform, speak our language, embrace our traditions, and deepen what it means to live by our core values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment.  To all of our chaplains, on behalf of Marines everywhere, please know you have our deepest thanks and gratitude for the unwavering care you provide for each of us and our families.  Happy birthday.
