GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  Reserve Affairs (RA) annually conducts TFIST Continuum Courses as Professional Military Education (PME) for AR officers and senior enlisted.  The following are the established dates for Basic TFIST, Advanced TFIST (A-TFIST), Senior TFIST Symposium (S-TFIST), and Enlisted TFIST (E-TFIST).  All courses will be conducted at Marine Corps Base Quantico.
2.  Basic TFIST:  Session 1, 14-16 March 2023; Session 2, 31 October to 2 November 2023.  Marines shall attend only one session.
2.a.  TFIST is for newly accessed AR officers.  This course orients officers to their roles and responsibilities as members of the AR Program and provides opportunity to discuss contemporary Reserve Component (RC) issues with their peers, develop camaraderie and prepare for successful tours as reserve integrators.
2.b.  TFIST is required for career designation in the AR Program for accessed AR officers.
3.  A-TFIST:  10-12 May 2023
3.a.  The purpose of A-TFIST is to train field grade officers serving in critical reserve integration billets.
3.b.  As AR officers progress through their careers, it is necessary to ensure they receive additional, relevant HQMC RC training to support their RC integration role.  This course consists of instruction and material that enables AR officers to succeed in senior assignments such as Reserve Integration and Liaison Officers to the Marine Forces (MARFORs), Individual Mobilization Augmentee (IMA) Operational Sponsors, and other billets focused on reserve integration.
4.  Senior-TFIST Symposium (S-TFIST):  19-20 July 2023
4.a.  This symposium is an open forum discussion designed for senior AR officers to receive and discuss the latest Marine Corps initiatives, the potential impact on the RC, as well as their role as senior leaders in reserve advocacy.
4.b.  Attendance is open to all AR colonels and colonel-selects.
5.  E-TFIST:  1-4 Aug 2023
5.a.  E-TFIST is for AR staff noncommissioned officers.  This course orients Marines to their roles and responsibilities as senior members of the AR Program and how to effectively serve as reserve integrators in support of the Marine Corps Total Force.
6.  AR officers required to attend Basic TFIST and AR officers interested in attending A-TFIST must respond NLT 3 February 2023 via the organizational mailbox:  RAP@USMC.MIL.  Class size for Basic TFIST and A-TFIST are limited to 25 students per course and spots will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.  Should requests exceed maximum class size, Reserve Affairs reserves the right to prioritize attendance based on billet assignments.
7.  AR colonels and colonel-selects will be contacted via separate correspondence to attend FY23 S-TFIST Symposium.
8.  Marines interested in attending FY23 E-TFIST must respond NLT 1 July 2023 via the organizational mailbox:  RA-RETENTION@USMC.MIL.  Class size is limited to 50 students per course and spots will be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.  Should requests exceed maximum class size, Reserve Affairs reserves the right to prioritize attendance based on billet assignments.
