GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  Per ref (a), parachute safety inspections are to be conducted on all Marine Corps commands with a parachute capability at least once every two years.  Assist visits will be provided upon request by the command or as directed by DC, PP&O, (POE).  Per ref (b), helicopter rope suspension techniques program inspections will be conducted at least every two years on all Marine Corps units authorized to conduct refresher training and conduct assist visits as requested by units or as directed by DC, PP&O, (POG).
2.  Inspections are scheduled by Naval Safety Command based on coordination and input from inspected unit representatives.  These inspections will be completed by the Parachute Safety Analyst assigned to the Naval Safety Command.

3.  Details regarding inspection schedule, checklists, in-brief, and results of past inspection will be forwarded to each affected activity via email approximately 90 days prior to the planned inspection visit or upon request by the units being inspected.
4.  Conflicts with the unit’s mission schedule will be addressed on a case-by-case basis between the unit’s Paraloft Chief and the Naval Safety Command Parachute Safety Analyst.
5.  In order to fully meet requirements of refs (a) and (b), all cancellations of parachute program and HRST locker inspections must be initiated by the commanding officers at the regimental level with endorsement from the first general officer in the unit’s chain of command and may require the unit to fund travel expenses for the inspection.  Cancellation requests will be communicated via email to the Naval Safety Command Parachute Safety Analyst, MGySgt Gabriel Machado (Gabriel.machado1@navy.mil) and HQMC Safety Division (hqmc_safety_division@usmc.mil). 
6.  The scheduled inspections are at no cost to the units.  Assist visits are provided to all commands with a parachute/HRST capability upon request via message or email at no cost to commands and are highly recommended. 
7.  This MARADMIN is applicable to all Marine Corps units with parachute and/or helicopter rope suspension techniques capabilities.
