GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  I have approved the selection of Captain Shan G. Mandrayar, Battalion Landing Team 2/4, 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, I Marine Expeditionary Force, MARFORPAC, as the recipient of the CY2022 Leftwich Trophy for outstanding leadership for performance while serving as a company commander within 1st Marine Division.  As expected, the competition was exceptionally keen.  All nominees had exemplary records which indicated noteworthy leadership and command ability.
