SUBJ/3D MARINE LOGISTICS GROUP ANNIVERSARY//
GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  On behalf of the entire Marine Corps, it is my honor to salute the Marines and Sailors of 3d Marine Logistics Group (3d MLG) on your 65th anniversary.
2.  You have supported Marine forces throughout the Pacific region since your activation as 3d Force Service Regiment at Camp Courtney, Okinawa, Japan, on 1 May 1958.  You provided sustained combat logistics support to Marine forces during the Vietnam War, the Gulf War, and the Global War on Terrorism.  All the while you continued to respond to humanitarian crises in the Pacific region, often being among the first responders to arrive and provide crucial supplies, transportation, and manpower to those in need.  In every clime and place, your courage and selflessness has meant that you carry out each mission with the utmost professionalism and devotion to duty.
3.  You have the highest admiration of your fellow Marines and Sailors for your venerable service and proud history.  Thank you for your dedication.  Please take time to reflect on the legacy of 3d MLG and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for this great nation.
