GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  Background.  To assist commanders in managing the safety requirements outlined in reference a, the Marine Corps Safety Management System (MCSMS) Requirements Tracker was developed.  The MCSMS Requirements Tracker is intended as a tool for use by Ground Safety Managers and/or Ground Safety Officers to track safety-related requirements and to provide a snapshot of safety readiness and culture to commanders.  This MARADMIN updates the MCSMS Requirements Tracker format, and changes the submission timeline from monthly to quarterly.
2.  Purpose.  The MCSMS Requirements Tracker consists of 30 unique categories, each measuring a different component of safety readiness.  Proper use of the MCSMS Requirements Tracker will provide leadership at both the unit and higher headquarters level a detailed awareness of overall safety and safety cultural readiness.
2.a.  In accordance with reference a, all O-5 and higher commands will incorporate the MCSMS Requirements Tracker into quarterly command-level safety councils.  The tracker will then be forwarded to higher headquarters safety representatives per their respective higher echelon's timeline.  Subsequent command echelons (Group/Regt, Wing/Div/MLG, MEF, MARFOR, MARCOR, TECOM, Bases, and Installations) will then use the tracker to keep respective commanding officers and commanding generals abreast of safety trends.
2.b.  All major commands (MARFORs, MARCORs, and TECOM) will send completed trackers to the Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps via the CMC Safety Division NLT 30 days after the end of each quarter.  Quarterly submissions from major commands can be sent to CMC Safety Division via the following e-mail address: M_HQMC_CMC_Safety_Division_UD@usmc.mil
2.c.  The updated MCSMS Requirements Tracker is available at:  https:(slash)(slash)www.safety.marines.mil/MCSMSrequirementstracker.
