GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  This message announces the Fiscal Year 2022 Male and Female Athletes of the Year winners and runners-up.
2.  On behalf of the Deputy Commandant for Manpower and Reserve Affairs, the Director of Marine and Family Programs Division takes pleasure in congratulating the following Marines on their selection:
2.a.  Male Athlete of the Year:  Captain Kyle King – 3d Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, CA.
Runner Up:  Sergeant Major Steven Burkett – School of Infantry-West, Marine Corps Base (MCB) Camp Pendleton, CA.
2.b.  Female Athlete of the Year:  Captain Grace Jenkins – Naval Recruit Officer Training Center, University of Hawaii-Manoa, Honolulu, HI.
Runner Up:  First Lieutenant Alixandra Valenti – Combat Logistics Regiment - 17, 1st Marine Logistics Group, MCB Camp Pendleton, CA.
