SUBJ/GUIDANCE TO THE FORCE 2023//
GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  As Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps, I have released my “Guidance to the Force” in White Letter 1-23.  This guidance can be accessed at https:(slash)(slash)www.marines.mil/Guidance-To-The-Force and will remain in effect until a 39th Commandant of the Marine Corps is confirmed by the United States Senate.
2.  White Letter 1-23 is intended to be read by all Marines and those who support Marine units.  As we maintain our momentum and direction, my guidance aims to illuminate what is expected of every Marine, from our newest private to me.  Commanders and leaders should ensure this guidance is accessible to all Marines and are tasked with conducting guided discussions at the unit level.  Everyone’s understanding of our current direction and expectations is essential to achieving unity of effort across our Corps and directly translates to combat readiness.
