GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. The Enlisted Retention Section (MMEA-1) of the Enlisted Assignment Branch at Headquarters, U.S. Marine Corps will host a Career Planner Symposium.
1.a.  The symposium will include a series of informational briefs and guided discussions in order to consider effective methods to retain the most qualified Marines for future retention seasons.
1.b.  The symposium is intended for Career Planners filling a Staff Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge (SNCOIC) billet and any Career Planner or Prior Service Recruiter supporting the Direct Affiliation Program. Participation is capped at 50 Marines.
2. The symposium will be held from 14 November 2023 to 16 November 2023 at Liversedge Hall, Large Conference Room, 15 Liversedge Drive, Quantico, VA 22134.
2.a.  Marines traveling OCONUS will depart duty stations on 12 November, while CONUS Marines depart on 13 November. The return date is 17 November for OCONUS and CONUS.
3.  Funding for symposium participation is the responsibility of the attendees’ parent commands.
3.a.  Government messing is not available.
3.b.  Billeting.  Attendees will stay at Liversedge Hall, 15 Liversedge Drive, Quantico, VA 22134.  Attendees must make reservations before arriving. All attendees must confirm reservations by calling (703) 630-4444 before 30 October 2023. Attendees should identify themselves as part of the FY24 Career Planner Symposium.
3.c.  It is recommended that Career Planners traveling from the same geographic locations share rental car expenses whenever feasible. Attendees should make all efforts to reduce costs associated with the symposium.
3.d.  Uniform for the symposium is civilian business casual.
4.  Major Subordinate Command Career Planner SNCOICs will identify attendees NLT 3 November 2023 via email to the POCs listed above. Attendees will receive a confirmation of receipt. The following format will be utilized:
