GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. Throughout the year, the Marine Corps provides opportunities for Marines, Sailors, and Civilians to attend a broad list of outreach events that are sponsored by Headquarters, United States Marine Corps (HQMC), Manpower and Reserve Affairs (M&RA), Opportunity, Diversity, and Inclusion Branch (MPE) to gain professional development, mentoring, and networking experiences. The Marine Corps participates in these events due to their positive reception and value in promoting diversity and inclusion.
2. Attendees benefit from candid and insightful discussions, both with senior departmental/service leaders and among themselves. Additionally, these events offer mutually beneficial educational opportunities that provide participants and the Service with a greater understanding of how to work with and capitalize on the differences and strengths within our Corps.
3. For planning purposes, separate announcements will be released for each outreach event containing participation details. Dates are tentative and will be confirmed with host organization. The outreach events for Fiscal Year 2024 are:

3.d. Becoming Everything You Are (BEYA) - Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) with the Stars and Stripes Awards event (15-17 February 2024)

3.f. Academy Women - Officer Women Leadership Symposium (OWLS) (11-12 April 2024).

3.h. Federal Asian Pacific American Council (FAPAC) - National Leadership Training Program (6-10 May 2024)

4. All events are subject to final approval and budget availability.
5. Marines must go through their chain of command for authorization to participate.
5.a. Marines in an Active Duty status require authorization from their immediate Officer-In-Charge to be considered for MPE participation approval.
5.b. Reserve Marines within the Selected Reserve will require approval from the first O5 commander in their chain of command to be considered for outreach attendance.
6. Attendees must have a government travel charge card in their possession and a Defense Travel System profile joined to their respective unit.
7. Defense Travel System (DTS) questions should be addressed to the local DTS office or via the website at www.defensetravel.dod.mil.
8. To propose additional outreach events or submit inquiries and suggestions, email the outreach organizational mailbox at MPE_Outreach@usmc.mil. Proposals must include justification for Marine Corps-wide participation and all organizational contact information.
9. This MARADMIN is applicable to the Marine Corps Total Force.
