GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  Situation.  Joint-service professional development opportunities for enlisted Marines in the ranks of master sergeant and first sergeant are limited.  The United States Army Sergeants Major Academy (USASMA) offers a limited number of seats to the Marine Corps.  Located at Fort Bliss, Texas, USASMA is an intense 10 month course, with a total of 1,420 instructional hours designed to elevate the thinking of master sergeants and first sergeants from the tactical level to the operational and strategic perspective, thus preparing them for leadership positions in organizations executing unified land operations.  USASMA also prepares senior enlisted personnel for leadership positions in joint, interagency, intergovernmental, and multinational organizations.  The course assists in the development of logical, practical, and original reasoning abilities necessary for problem solving.  Students analyze problems based on available information, arrive at logical solutions and decision making with reasonable speed, and communicate reasoning and decisions orally and in writing.  Intellectual honesty, integrity, professional values, and standards are highly stressed.
2.  Mission.  The Marine Corps Senior Enlisted Academy (MCSEA) will accept nominations for six nominees to attend USASMA Class 75.
3.  Execution
