GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. Purpose. This message announces the results of the Fiscal Year 2024 (FY24) Commandant's Professional Intermediate-Level Education Board (CPIB) which convened on 6 September 2023 as part of the Fiscal Year 2024 (FY24) Commandant's Education Board (CEB). This message includes those selected to attend Intermediate-level schools (ILS), foreign professional military education (FPME) and various fellowships.
1.a. Major milestone timeline (read in two columns):
DATE MILESTONE
7 January 2024 Deferral Deadline of AA forms to monitors
May-September 2024 FPME DLI begin dates
July-August 2024 CMC Fellowship orientations (para 4.d.)
2. Background. The board, composed of one colonel and twenty lieutenant colonels, screened the records of the eligible population and selected the officers listed below. The small number of CPIB assignments available relative to the number of eligible officers makes selection a highly competitive process.
3. Coordinating Instructions
3.a. This MARADMIN serves as notice of orders for the officers listed in paragraph 4. Per Ref (c), officers may request for retirement or resignation in lieu of orders, if eligible.
3.b. Officers selected as primaries for resident PME will be contacted by their PMOS monitor in order to discuss geographic preference for follow-on orders.
3.c. The Advanced-Intermediate Level Schools (A-ILS) selection process is on-going. Officers selected as primaries or alternates for CPIB who also applied for A-ILS are still eligible for selection to an A-ILS program. A-ILS selects will be notified via the A-ILS selection MARADMIN which will be released at a later date. Those selected to apply to Maritime Advanced Warfighting School (MAWS) are annotated below (para 4.b.3.)
3.d. Headquarters Marine Corps will not usually accept deferrals. Consideration will be given to those deployed and unable to execute orders. Officers who fall into this category may request deferral in writing (AA Form) via the first general officer in their chain of command to HQMC (MMOA-3) no later than 7 January 2024.
3.e. Marines selected for Marine Corps CSC (para 4.b.4.) are required to visit https:(slash)(slash)www.usmcu.edu/Students/New-Student-Check-In/. At the website, all selectees will follow the instructions for registration, enrollment, and pre-check-in. Registration will begin 1 January 2024. Please register and complete the online enrollment process before 1 July 2024.
4. Selectees
4.a. All slated officers are listed below with corresponding assignments. Unless specified otherwise, officers will receive orders from their Primary Military Occupational Specialty (PMOS) monitor. Marine Corps Recruiting Command (MCRC) Scholars are included in the list of primaries.
