GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  The United States Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron (NFDS) (Blue Angels) may select one Marine Corps Captain/Major F/A-18 Demonstration Pilot for the 2025-2026 show seasons and one Captain/Major C-130 Demonstration Pilot for the 2025-2027 show seasons.
2.  Interested officers should submit applications per reference (a) by 30 April 2024 to the points of contact indicated in paragraph 5. Applicants must contact their monitor listed in paragraph 6.b. to determine eligibility prior to beginning the application process. The NFDS will make final selections in July 2024.
3.  Qualifications and Eligibility.  Applicants must be active-duty commissioned officers with the following specific qualifications:
3.a.  F/A-18 demonstration pilot applicants must be qualified tactical jet pilots with approximately 1,250 hours of total jet flight time by 30 September 2024, have completed an operational fleet tour, and have completed Advanced Flight Training with an average or greater composite score.
3.b.  C-130 demonstration pilot applicants must have an aircraft commander rating in the C-130J and should have approximately 1,200 hours of flight time by 30 September 2024 and completed Advanced Flight Training with an average or greater composite score.
3.c.  Applicants must have completed 24 months time-on-station (TOS) by 1 September 2024.  Additionally, applicants currently assigned outside of the continental United States shall complete their tour control factor by 1 September 2024 to be eligible.  Applicants must notify their PMOS monitor and receive email confirmation confirming they meet TOS requirements for inclusion in their application.
4.   Manpower Management, officer assignments will approve all selectees prior to issuing of orders.  Pilots will be required to remain on active duty for two years following completion of their assignment with the Blue Angels.
5.  Reference (a) delineates application procedures.
5.a.  All interested officers must submit their applications to the Blue Angels Applicants Officer.  The Blue Angels transition between east and west locations throughout the year.
