GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  Per reference (a), effective immediately, the wear of hosiery with skirts is optional.  When wearing hosiery, however, skin tone harmonizing nylon will be worn.
2.  Paragraph 3012.4.e.2 of reference (b) is changed to read: "3012.4.e.2 When slacks are worn as part of the evening dress, blue dress, or service uniforms, either black oxfords or black dress flats will be worn at the individual's option, except that oxfords will be prescribed for drill, parades, and other occasions which require functional uniformity.  When slacks and oxfords are worn, either dark hose or black socks will be worn at the individual's option.  Skin tone harmonizing hose may be worn with slacks and dress flats."
3.  Paragraph 3017.5 of reference (b) is changed to read:  "5.  When the maternity service uniform with skirts is worn, pumps, oxfords, or flats, hose will be worn at the individual's option."
4.  Paragraphs 3029.4-5 of reference (b) are changed to read: "3029.4.  Female Marines may wear skin tone harmonizing full-length nylon hose with skirts at their option.  Dark hose or black socks may be worn with slacks per paragraph 3012.  When hosiery is not worn, shoe liners or no-show socks will be to be worn for hygienic purposes and to avoid abrasions or blisters caused by direct contact and rubbing between the foot and shoe.  3029.5.  Hose, when worn, should harmonize with the natural skin tone of the individual."
