GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  I have approved the selection of Major Michael E. Larson, 2d Battalion, 7th Marines, 4th Marine Regiment, 3d Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, Marine Forces Pacific, as the recipient of the CY2023 Leftwich Trophy for outstanding leadership for performance while serving as a company commander within 3d Marine Division.  As expected, the competition was exceptionally keen.  All nominees had exemplary records which indicated noteworthy leadership and command ability.
