GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  Situation.  Headquarters Marine Corps, Manpower and Reserve Affairs (M&RA) and Marine Corps Manpower Information Technology System Modernization (MITSM) are seeking volunteers to test the functionality and usability of the fully digital cloud-based version of Total Force Retention System (TFRS).  A new iteration of TFRS (TFRS 2.0) is being designed to simplify, digitize, and automate the reenlistment process.  It will also encourage personalized outcomes to enhance and prolong Marines' careers, benefiting both the Marine and the Service.
2.  Mission.  M&RA and MITSM will conduct an in-person User Acceptance Test (UAT) of the TFRS 2.0 prototype using Career Planners and other Marine participants to evaluate the system's functionality and usability.
3.  Execution.  The UAT for TFRS 2.0 will be conducted between 21 June 2024 - 2 July 2024.  Marines and Career Planners will participate using personal devices and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) to execute predetermined test scripts via web browser or mobile application.  Participants will be required to test various personas within the reenlistment process.  There will be no funding provided for travel.

3b.  Training will be provided for test participants in-person on 17 June 2024 at the Alfred M. Gray Marine Corps Research Center, 2040 Broadway Street, Quantico, VA 22134, or via Microsoft TEAMS, link will be provided to all registrants.  Training is scheduled for 0800-1200 EDT.
3c.  Career Planner and Marine volunteers will be assigned specific days to participate within the testing window listed in 3.a.  Testing will begin at 0800.

3d. Daily hotwashes will be conducted at the end of each test day.  Test participants will be asked to complete a post-test survey covering various user experience topics.
4.  Administration and Logistics
4a.  Facility.  In-person Testing will be conducted at Marine Corps Systems Command, Hospital Point Bldg 2207 VTC Lab, MCB Quantico.  No hardware or equipment will be issued for the test event.  All volunteer participants will use their personal or issued GFE devices to execute the test.  Marines who volunteer will be assigned a testing persona.
