GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  The Federally Employed Women (FEW) National Training Program (NTP) will be held from 5 – 8 August 2024 at the Hilton Chicago, 720 South Michigan Avenue, Chicago, Illinois.
2.  FEW is a premier training experience for all governmental affiliations.  It offers sessions, workshops, and presenters that provide essential skills to build successful careers and opportunities for advancement.  The Leadership NTP will provide professional instruction on topics that meet the five Office of Personnel Management executive core qualifications (Leading Change, Leading People, Results Driven, Business Acumen, and Building Coalitions).  FEW is a non-federal entity wholly independent of the Marine Corps.  More information can be found on their website www.few.org.
3.  During the NTP, attendees will benefit from candid and insightful discussions, both with senior departmental/service leaders and amongst themselves.  Additionally, this event offers mutually beneficial educational opportunities that provide participants and the Service with a greater understanding of how to work with and capitalize on the differences and strengths within our Corps.
4.  Headquarters United States Marine Corps, Manpower Plans and Policy Division (MP) will sponsor 4 conference registration fees and travel expenses for those in a temporary additional duty status and local travelers for this event.  MP will fund travel for seven days with the authorized travel days being 4 August and 9 August 2024.  Lodging reimbursement is limited to the government rate and the traveler must utilize the integrated lodging program as applicable.  Commands may authorize rental cars using unit funds.
5.  Attendees require authorization from their command to be considered for MP participation approval.
6.  Reserve Marines within the selected reserve will require approval from the first O5 commander in their chain of command to be considered for participation.  Reserve commands are required to attach their Marines to their unit while attending the conference using command funding.  MP will fund their registration and all travel expenses during the traveling period of the conference.
7.  Outreach events are open to all Marines, Sailors, and Civilian Marines regardless of rank, race, ethnicity, or gender.  Requests to attend this event should be emailed to the Branch mailbox MPE_Outreach@usmc.mil via the individual’s Officer-in-Charge and must include the following information: name, rank, unit, EDIPI, email, duty station, and DTS organization.  Requests must be submitted no later than (NLT) 14 July 2024.  Attendees must have a government travel charge card in their possession and a Defense Travel System profile joined to their respective unit.
