AMPN/REF A IS ALMAR 005/24, PASSING OF AND SERVICES FOR GENERAL 
ALFRED M. GRAY JR., 29TH COMMANDANT OF THE MARINE CORPS//
1.  The reference announced the death of General Alfred M. Gray, 
Jr., U.S. Marine Corps, Retired, 29th Commandant of the Marine 
Corps, on 20 March 2024.
2.  Funeral and burial: funeral services for General Alfred Gray 
and his Wife, Janice, will be held on Monday, 29 July 2024, at 1100, 
at the Fort Meyer Memorial Chapel.  The funeral service will be 
immediately followed by a graveside service with full military 
honors at Arlington National Cemetery.
3.  The uniform for military attendees is Dress Blue/White
Bravos and cloth belt, or Service equivalent.  Civilians in 
attendance are requested to wear business attire.
4.  All Marine Corps installations will half-mast the national 
ensign on the day of interment, Monday, 29 July 2024, until sunset.
5.  Release authorized by Eric M. Smith, General, U.S. Marine 
Corps, Commandant of the Marine Corps.//
