GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  The Major Megan McClung awards’ board for FY24 is complete.  
2.  The Major Megan McClung Leadership Award was named after the first female Marine Corps officer killed in combat during the Iraq war.  The award recognizes servicemembers’ leadership skills and their contributions towards the tenets of equal opportunity, human relations, and public service. 
3.  The award selections were divided into four rank categories:  field grade officer, company grade, staff non-commissioned officer, and non-commissioned officer.  The following personnel are selected as recipients of the Major Megan McClung Leadership Award:
3.a  Major Andrew P. Cody, Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 3-11 (VMFA-311), Marine Aircraft Group-11 (MAG-11), 3d Marine Aircraft Group (3d MAW), Miramar, California.    
3.b  Captain Kimberley J. Heller, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
3.c  Sergeant Major Jesabel D. Cuadro, Recruiting Station, Tampa, Florida.
3.d  Corporal Jadamarie Mitchell, VMFA-311, MAG-11, 3d MAW, Miramar, California. 
4. Congratulations to the award recipients and their commands.
5.  The Major Megan McClung Award will be presented at the Joint Women's Leadership Symposium (JWLS) 26-28 June 2024 in Arlington, Virginia.  The award recipients will have the opportunity to attend JWLS, which will be fully funded by Headquarters, United States Marine Corps, Manpower Plans and Policy Division.  Commands may authorize a rental car using command funds.
