GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. On 2 June 2025, the Deputy Commandant for
Manpower and Reserve Affairs (DC M&RA) convened the Fiscal Year 2026
Recruiting Station Commanding Officer (RSCO) Selection Board to
select officers as RSCOs and identify alternates for duty beginning
in Fiscal Year 2026.
2. Marine Corps Recruiting Command is dedicated to recruiting high
quality men and women from across our nation to earn the title
Marine. To reinforce and continue ongoing recruiting success, a
board of 3 general officers and 13 colonels reviewed the records of
486 eligible officers and selected 17 for assignment as RSCO.
With a 3.5% primary selection rate, RSCO is an exceptionally
competitive process. The board selected an additional 34 highly
qualified officers as alternates. The board considered that the
pre-eminent quality required for RSCOs is proven leadership,
preferably demonstrated in dynamic environments in distributed
situations, and selected officers accordingly.
