GENTEXT/REMARKS/
1.  Situation.  Joint-service professional development opportunities
for enlisted Marines are limited.  However, Marine Corps University,
with assistance from the Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps, has
established a long-term relationship with the United States Navy
Senior Enlisted Academy (USNSEA) resulting in a controlled number of
seats for the United States Marine Corps.  This academy is located
at Naval Station (NS) Newport, Rhode Island.  The USNSEA conducts an
intense six-week blended course with a curriculum focused on the
areas of management, leadership, communication, organizational
behavior, national and international strategic studies, and physical
fitness.
2.  Mission.  The following nine iterations of USNSEA have a
three-week Distance Learning (DL) phase followed by a three-week
resident phase. The DL phase must be completed in order to proceed
to the resident phase.
3.  Execution.  The Deputy Director, Marine Corps Senior Enlisted
Academy (MCSEA) will manage the quotas and coordinate the attendance
of qualified Marines to the USNSEA.  The course dates for Fiscal
