GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. The emerging and future operational requirements
necessitate the Marine Corps train and educate expeditionary
logistics professionals capable of succeeding in such an
environment. Marine Logisticians must be adaptable, critical
thinkers who can anticipate transitions to fight and win across
contested domains. In coordination with Training and Education
Command and joint logistics enterprise stakeholders, we strive to
provide valuable training and education opportunities across the
logistics community. The Logistics Education Program (LEP) provides
opportunities through training and educational institutions,
internal and external to the Marine Corps, to broaden knowledge on
joint, multinational, and interagency logistics processes,
practices, and technologies.
2. Per the reference (A), Marine Corps Logistics Operations Group
(MCLOG) is the service-level manager of select LEP courses. MCLOG
oversees the Marine Corps' allocation of logistics training and
education opportunities with other services and civilian/
governmental agencies. Courses associated with the LEP provide
unique opportunities to expand the knowledge base of logisticians
across the Fleet Marine Force AND supporting establishment.
3. Individual LEP courses are training or educational venues which
provide opportunities for logisticians to broaden their knowledge on
joint, multinational, and interagency logistics processes,
practices, and technologies. Due to the high interest in the LEP,
coupled with the fact that many of the training or educational
venues hosting LEP courses do not fall under the Marine Corps, MCLOG
must utilize a nomination process.
3.A. NOMINATION PROCESS. Each of the LEP courses will have a calling
message, complete with up-to-date information, released
approximately ninety (90) days prior to the course start on the
first of the month, via AMHS, and hung on MCLOG sharepoint,
available at:
HTTPS:(SLASH)(SLASH)USMC.SHAREPOINT-MIL.US/SITES/TECOM_MCLOG.
Contact the listed POCs if unable to navigate to the LEP
information.
Nomination period will run for thirty (30) days, ending on the
first of the next month, approximately (60) days prior to the course
start.
NLT fifteen (15) days after the nomination period expires, both
selected and non-selected nominees will be notified by the LEP
Registrar. Early nominations for courses that have not yet had a
calling message released will be entertained.
3.B. FUNDING. TECOM Formal School Travel Support (FSTS) is
forecasted to be limited during FY26. TECOM Tier II LEP courses
(AMOS Producing) funding priority must meet service requirements.
Additional seats may be offered as unit funded. TECOM Tier V LEP
COURSES (JOINT) will often be unit-funded during FY26. Individual
course calling messages will have updated funding information.
3.C. The paragraphs below provide a summary of current LEP courses.
Updates will occur at regular intervals via MARADMIN, AMHS, and
MCLOG sharepoint.
4. MCLOG LEP OFFERINGS.
4.A. Advanced Expeditionary Logistics Operations Course (AXLOC),
Marine Corps Logistics Operations Group, Twentynine Palms, CA (CID:
M09F2F9)
4.A.1. AXLOC is the premier venue offering advanced integrated
training for Marines, Joint, and International Service Members
serving in key logistics billets. AXLOC has a Distance Learning (DL)
phase and a resident phase. The Distance Learning phase must be
completed before being registered for the resident phase, and both
must be completed for Marines to be certified as an Expeditionary
Logistics Instructor (ELI)/AMOS 0477. This fast-paced four-week
resident phase certifies ELIs to effectively close and sustain Naval
Expeditionary Forces in support of Distributed Maritime Operations
and Expeditionary Advanced Base Operations. AXLOC challenges
participants to plan and conduct tactical and operational level
logistics and will require the incorporation of the Joint Logistics
Enterprise and strategic level solutions. Using 21st-Century adult
learning methodologies, AXLOC incorporates extensive use of case
studies, Wargaming, Staff Exercises, and planning in integrated
small groups. Graduates will be able to design, conduct, and
supervise unit training plans, evaluate unit readiness data
submitted in the Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS), develop
Concepts of Logistics Support, incorporates the use of the Marine
Corps Planning Process (MCPP) and Joint Planning Process (JPP), and
lead Operational Planning Teams (OPT).
4.A.2. This course is designed for Officers in grades O-4 through
