GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. The Commandant’s Retention Program Reserve
(CRP-R) recognizes the Marine Corps’ most talented first-term Marines
by providing a streamlined reenlistment process and offering
meaningful incentives to encourage continued service in the Selected
Marine Corps Reserve (SMCR). Marines selected for this program have
consistently demonstrated exceptional performance, remarkable
proficiency in their occupational field, and the highest standards of
professionalism. Their committed pursuit of embodying the whole
Marine concept throughout their initial enlistment has positioned
them among the top tier of Marines within their respective Primary
Military Occupational Specialties (PMOS).
2. The Commandant of the Marine Corps takes great pleasure in
congratulating the Marines listed below who have been selected for
participation in the CRP-R. These Marines have received conditional
approval for expedited reenlistment provided they meet reenlistment
prerequisites per reference (a) and may be eligible for monetary and
non-monetary incentives. Additionally, selected Marines may consider
a LatMov should they so desire to explore a new PMOS that aligns with
their demonstrated talents and future potential.

4. Coordinating Instructions
4.a. Upon release of this message, commanders will personally inform
each Marine of their selection and develop a plan for formal
recognition.
4.b. Career Counselors will coordinate with CRP-R selectees to
facilitate early reenlistment and available incentives through an
abbreviated submission process, ensuring completion of all required
documentation. Local commands are not authorized to impose
additional administrative requirements beyond those outlined in the
abbreviated process. CRP-R selectee may submit their requests to CMC
(RA) via a Career Counselor using the Total Force Retention System
(TFRS) upon the release of this message. Requests for monetary
incentives will be processed in the order they are received until
available incentive funds are exhausted. The status of incentive
funds availability will be provided on the RA incentives dashboard
and in messages posted within TFRS. After incentive funds are
exhausted, selectees may continue to submit for early reenlistment,
non-monetary incentives, or Lat Mov into a PMOS that aligns with
their skills and future career goals.
4.c. Reenlistments and incentives executed under CRP-R will be
credited towards the FY26 Reserve Command Retention Mission as
outlined in reference (b).
4.d. Approvals are conditional upon the Marine meeting all
eligibility criteria outlined in reference (a) and receiving a
favorable recommendation from their Commanding Officer. The role
and responsibilities of the Commanding Officer in the successful
execution of the CRP-R are critical and cannot be overstated.
Marines selected for this list were based on JEPES score at a moment
in time. If a Marine listed in paragraph 3 no longer meets the
requirements in reference (a), they are no longer eligible for CRP-R.
Also, if the Marine does not receive a Commanding Officer’s
recommendation, the Marine is disqualified from participation in the
CRP-R and must pursue reenlistment IAW the standard procedures
outlined in reference (b).
4.e. Commanding Officers will provide a consolidated list of their
CRP-R Marines, along with their reenlistment certification and
recommendations.
4.f. If approved for an incentive with a three-year obligation, a
Marine’s Mandatory Drill Participation Stop Date (MDPSD) will be
adjusted three years from the Marine's current. The contract length
in a CRP-R selectee’s DD Form 4 must cover the entirety of the new
SMCR drilling obligation. Such reenlistments will normally be for
four (4) years.
4.g. Career Counselors are advised to reference the TFRS for
specific administrative guidance when processing and submitting CRP-R
requests. Career Counselors must ensure the correct program is
selected in TFRS to avoid delays or administrative errors.
5. CMC (RA) authorizes CRP-R-eligible corporals to reenlist for a
period up to a corporal’s 10th satisfactory year to expand
eligibility for corporals to receive monetary incentives.
6. This MARADMIN is applicable to the Reserve units with SMCR
personnel only.
7. This MARADMIN is canceled on 30 September 2026.
8. Release authorized by Major General John F. Kelliher III,
Director, Reserve Affairs Division.//
