GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  This message announces updates to reference (B),
Paragraph 3. 
This message provides additional guidance for Marine Security Guard
(MSG) nominations in lieu of changes to reference (A).  Nominees for
MSG of the year will be any Marine with the 8156 MOS 
(CONUS or OCONUS), assigned to Marine Corps Embassy Security Group
(MCESG) for the entire fiscal year.  Watch standers, detachment
Commanders, and instructor advisors are eligible.  Nomination
packages will be submitted from each subordinate unit (MSG Regions,
Marine Security Guard Security Augmentation Unit (MSAU), and MSG
School) to be screened and boarded by the Commanding Officer, MCESG
prior to a submission to Commander, Marine Forces Command for final
approval. 
2.  All other instructions, details, and authorities contained in
reference (B) remain in effect.
3.  Release authorized by Lieutenant General Benjamin T. Watson,
Deputy Commandant for Training and Education.//
