GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. Purpose. This message announces the results of
the Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26) Commandant's Professional Intermediate-
Level Education Board (CPIB) that convened on 5 August 2025, as part
of the FY26 Commandant's Education Board (CEB). This message
includes those selected for the Commandant of the Marine Corps (CMC)
and civilian fellowships, Command and Staff College (CSC), other
sister service professional military education (PME), and Foreign
PME (FPME).
1.a. Background. The board, composed of five colonels, and sixteen
lieutenant colonels, considered the records of the eligible
population and selected the officers listed below. The small number
of CPIB assignments available relative to the number of eligible
officers makes selection a highly competitive process.
1.b. Major milestone timeline (read in two columns):
DATE MILESTONE
1 January 2026 Marine Corps CSC registration
26 June 2026 Marine Corps CSC end of registration
21 July 2026 Marine Corps CSC report date
May-September 2026 FPME DLI begin dates
July-August 2026 CMC Fellowship orientations (para 3.d.)
2. Coordinating Instructions
2.a. This MARADMIN serves as notice of orders for the officers
listed in paragraph 3.
2.b. Declinations. Only officers whose end of obligated service
(EOS) ends prior to the report date to their specific program may
decline orders. Officers eligible to decline this assignment have
10 days from release of this MARADMIN to decline. Officers who
elect to decline their selection are deemed as resigning in lieu of
orders. Officers who resign in lieu of orders will exit the service
NLT the last day of the month they were required to report to their
future unit.
2.b. Deferrals. Headquarters Marine Corps will not usually accept
deferrals. Officers may request a deferral in writing (AA Form)
via the first O-6 in their chain of command to HQMC (MMOA-3) no
later than ten days from the release of this MARADMIN.
2.c. Marines selected for Marine Corps CSC (para 3.b.5.) are
required to visit https:(slash)(slash)www.usmcu.edu/Students/
New-Student-Check-In/. On the website, all selectees will follow
the instructions for registration, enrollment, and pre-check-in.
Registration will begin 1 January 2026. Please register and
complete the online enrollment process before 26 June 2026. Marines
selected for Air Command and Staff College, Space Force Command and
Staff College, Army Command and General Staff College, and College
of Naval Command and Staff will be notified of their start dates and
registration requirements via separate correspondence.
