GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  The purpose of this MARADMIN is to announce the 
implementation of Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 3528, Motor 
Transport Master Technician. The implementation of the 3528 MOS is 
to address the increasing complexity of modern tactical wheeled 
vehicles. This MOS identifies Marines with advanced technical skills
to bridge the gap between traditional maintenance and emerging 
automotive technologies. MOS 3528 Marines will enhance unit 
on-the-job-training (OJT) programs, perform quality control 
procedures, and ensure the U.S. Marine Corps maintains a robust 
capability to sustain its tactical vehicle fleet – both today and 
into the future.  This initiative complements, rather than replaces,
existing MOS 3521 and 3529 capabilities and is vital to maximizing 
vehicle readiness and equipment availability.
2.  In coordination with Manpower & Reserve Affairs (M&RA), Training 
and Education Command (TECOM), and Combat Development and 
Integration (CD&I), the below changes will be reflected in the FY25
MOS Manual. 
3.  Eligibility requirements. Marines applying for the Additional 
MOS (AMOS) 3528 must meet and comply with the following criteria:
3.a. Marines must have a Primary Military Occupational Specialty 
(PMOS) of 3521 or 3529.
3.b. Marines in the ranks Corporal through Master Sergeant are 
eligible of obtain the MOS 3528.  
3.c. Marines must have completed either the Automotive Maintenance 
Technicians Career Course (AMTCC) (M033447) or the Motor Transport 
Maintenance Chiefs Course (MTMCC) (M03CDN7) at MCCSSS, Camp Lejeune, 
NC.
3.d. Marines must maintain a current Master Military Tactical 
Wheeled Vehicle Technician (TWV) Automotive Service Excellence (ASE)
(ASE MIL Master Technician) certification.
3.e. Receive a favorable endorsement from the first Maintenance 
Officer in their Chain of Command.
4.  Reporting Procedures.
4.a. IAW Ref C, Commanders are authorized to assign AMOS to Marines 
that meet the requirement set forth in para 3. Per local policy, 
Unit Admin will report unit diary entries to assign the AMOS 3528 to 
active and reserve component Marines.
4.b. Per local policy, Unit Admin will remove the AMOS 3528 
designator of active and reserve component Marines that no longer 
meet the requirements set forth in para 3.
5.  Training:
5.a. Document in Marine Corps Training Information Management System 
(MCTIMS) the completion of AMTCC or MTMCC as outlined in para 3.c.
5.b. Complete and document in MCTIMS, ASE MIL 2 through ASE MIL 8 
and ASE MIL Master Tech certifications.
5.b.1. Recertification of ASE MIL TWV Master Technician must be 
obtained every five years in order to meet the requirement set forth 
in para 3.c.
5.c. ASE MIL certifications and recertifications can be obtained 
through the Marine Corps Credentialing Opportunities On-Line 
(MCCOOL) program.
6.  The above changes are effective as of release of this message 
and have been reflected in the FY25 update to reference (C).
7.  This MARADMIN is applicable to the Marine Corps Total Force.
