GENTEXT/REMARKS/ 
1.  The Fiscal Year 2026 (FY26) Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Fellowship selection committee convened and selected two candidates
to for DAF MIT Phantom Cohort V and five candidates for the USMC-NPS
AI Fellowship Cohort II.  
2.  The board considered the records of all Marines who applied
against their project submission impact, individual career
progression, competitiveness, preferences of the applicant, and
overall needs of the Marine Corps.  
3.  Selection Board Results. 
3.a.  DAF MIT Phantom Fellowship.  The following officers were
selected as Phantoms for DAF MIT Phantom Program in FY26
(read in two columns):

introductions and transition period with the outgoing fellows.  
4.c.  Declinations and Deferrals. 
4.c.1.  Declinations.  Requests for declination by individuals who
applied and were selected for either program will not normally
receive favorable consideration. 
4.c.2.  Deferrals.  Headquarters Marine Corps will not normally
accept deferrals.
