GENTEXT/SITUATION/
1.  This message announces the rescheduled dates for the United
States Marine Corps (USMC) Generative and Agentic Artificial
Intelligence (AI) Workshop hosted in Quantico Virginia.
1.A.  Generative AI (GenAI) is a category of AI that creates new
content – such as text, images, audio, or code – based on patterns
learned from existing data.  GenAI is advancing rapidly with broad
applicability to augment Marines across the spectrum of functional
areas and activities.
1.B.  Agentic AI is an emerging AI capability of systems that can
autonomously pursue goals.  These systems use GenAI models as their
core reasoning engine, combined with memory and access to external
tools, allowing AI agents to plan and execute complex, multi-step
tasks to achieve a specific objective with minimal human
intervention.
1.C.  The character of war is increasingly defined by the speed and
accuracy of decision-making.  As outlined in the references, the
Marine Corps' ability to out-pace our adversaries is critical to the
success of Force Design and to prevail in strategic competition.
1.D.  The USMC Service Data Officer (SDO) will convene a Generative
and Agentic AI Workshop to conduct a hands-on, warfighter-focused
considerations for AI capabilities against real-world challenges.
2.  Mission.  From 09 to 12 March 2026, the USMC SDO will conduct
a Generative and Agentic AI Workshop in Quantico, VA to understand
high impact uses for AI across the Service, provide an overview of
Joint and industry solutions, and develop the USMC “North Star” to
maximize value for rapid USMC integration.
3.  Execution.
3.A.  Commander's intent. Conduct a workshop focused on AI solutions
that complement existing initiatives, maximize outcomes, and enhance
the warfighter.
3.B.  Concept of operations.  The workshop is a four-day, in-person
event.
3.C.  The workshop schedule, materials, and coordinating
instructions will be provided to confirmed attendees.
3.D.  Tasks. Participating commands are solicited to register
Marines and civilians with demonstrated expertise in AI, AI-related
fields, and relevant stakeholders.  Individuals can register to
attend the workshop as an "attendee" or request a briefing role by
selecting "participant" in the provided registration form.
3.D.1.  Individuals requesting a “participant” role must include a
GenAI or agentic AI use case brief to be presented at the workshop
along with command approval to speak on behalf of their command.
3.E.  Coordinating instructions.
3.E.1.  The workshop will be held from 09 to 12 March 2026 in
Quantico, VA.

registration link: https://forms.osi.apps.mil/r/0H3DKaGPZw.
3.E.4.  Industry partners and vendors interested in showcasing GenAI
or agentic AI capabilities should submit their applications using
the form available at the following link:
https://forms.osi.apps.mil/r/GG77sChRie.
3.E.5.  All prior government, military, and industry registrations
