GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. SITUATION. This MARADMIN provides initial guidance
on the defect and replacement process for the All-Weather Coat (AWC).
Headquarters Marine Corps, Installations and Logistics (HQMC I&L), in
coordination with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and Marine Corps
Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM), identified a significant
manufacturing defect in a specific production lot of the All-Weather
Coat (AWC). The defect causes the coat to bleed a noticeable,
orange-colored substance from the fabric when exposed to water or
rain, resulting in a stained, unserviceable, and unprofessional
appearance.
2. ACTION
2.A. Effective immediately, all sales and initial issue of the All-
Weather Coat are suspended until further notice.
2.B. Marine Corps Recruit Depots shall issue local guidance on de-
issuing the AWC, as required.
2.B.1. Marine Corps Recruit Depots shall issue Marines Due Members
to all impacted Marines and record the action in the individual
Marine's Service Record Book via a Page 11 entry. This documentation
ensures accurate accountability and traceability for corrective
actions.
2.C. The Defense Logistics Agency–Troop Support shall notify the
Marine Corps once defected AWC contract(s) and lot number(s) are
identified.
2.D. Headquarters Marine Corps Installations and Logistics shall
publish additional guidance via SEPCOR to the Marine Corps Total
Force regarding surveying and replacing defective AWC. This guidance
will include responsibilities, timelines, and reporting requirements
to ensure consistent execution across all commands.

4. This MARADMIN will remain in effect until canceled.
5. Release authorized by LtGen Stephen D. Sklenka Deputy Commandant,
