SUBJ/4TH MARINE LOGISTICS GROUP ANNIVERSARY//
GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. I extend the congratulations of a grateful Corps
to 4th Marine Logistics Group on the 60th anniversary of its
formation. As we mark the Marine Corps’ 250th year, we recognize
the indispensable role 4th MLG has played in sustaining our
warfighting readiness across the force. For decades, its Marines
and Sailors have provided the logistics depth, technical expertise,
and disciplined professionalism that enable Marine units to deploy,
fight and win.
2. Throughout its history, 4th MLG has demonstrated the unique
strength of the Marine Corps Reserve to bring a combination of
military training and civilian expertise, operational experience,
and unmatched adaptability to every mission. Whether supporting
large-scale training exercises, mobilizing for contingencies at home
or abroad, or reinforcing active forces during times of heightened
demand, 4th MLG has consistently lived its motto,
“Prepared for All Things.” This readiness reflects not only its
technical mastery across the logistics enterprise but also the
commitment and sacrifice required to balance service, family, and
civilian responsibilities in support of our Nation.
3. Today, 4th MLG continues to advance that legacy by
modernizing logistics capabilities for a rapidly evolving global
environment. Its units are enhancing expeditionary sustainment,
refining distributed support, and strengthening interoperability
with joint and allied partners. These efforts ensure the Marine
Corps remains capable of sustaining operations across contested
maritime and littoral spaces. As our Corps enters its next 250
years, the work and unwavering dedication of all at 4th MLG
stands as a testament to the idea that logistics is not merely
support but decisive combat power.
4. Semper Fidelis, Eric M. Smith, General, U.S. Marine Corps,
Commandant of the Marine Corps.//
