GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  I am pleased to announce the selection of 
Captain Andrew R. Kennedy Jr., 2d Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment,
3d Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, MARFORPAC, as
the recipient of the Calendar Year 2025 Leftwich Trophy for 
outstanding leadership for performance while serving as a company
commander within 1st Marine Division and deployed and nominated by
3d Marine Division.  As expected, the competition was exceptionally
keen.  All nominees had exemplary records which indicated noteworthy
leadership and command ability.
