GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, MARINE CORPS COMMUNITY
SERVICES (MCCS) "ONE SOURCE" IS AVAILABLE TO ALL MARINES AND THEIR
FAMILY MEMBERS.
A. MCCS ONE SOURCE IS AN INFORMATION AND REFERRAL SYSTEM,
LINKING MARINES AND THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS TO BOTH MILITARY AND
COMMUNITY RESOURCES. THERE IS A WIDE VARIETY OF RESOURCES
AVAILABLE ON TOPICS INCLUDING PARENTING AND CHILDCARE ISSUES,
EDUCATION SERVICES, FINANCIAL INFO AND COUNSELING, LEGAL, ELDER
CARE, HEALTH AND WELLNESS, CRISIS SUPPORT, AND RELOCATION. IT IS
DESIGNED TO HELP MARINES BETTER MANAGE COMPETING TIME DEMANDS,
SUCH AS PURCHASING A VEHICLE, LOCATING A PLUMBER, OR LOCATING A
YOUTH PROGRAM BY BEING AVAILABLE SEVEN DAYS A WEEK, 24 HOURS A
DAY, FOR 365 DAYS A YEAR.
B. MCCS ONE SOURCE OFFERS PRACTICAL SOLUTIONS, INFORMATION,
ADVICE AND SUPPORT VIA TELEPHONE, EMAIL, OR THE WEB. MARINES
AND THEIR FAMILIES MAY REQUEST MATERIALS, SUCH AS CDS OR
INFORMATIONAL BOOKLETS, TO BE MAILED TO THEIR HOME.
C. THIS SERVICE MAY BE PARTICULARLY USEFUL TO GEOGRAPHICALLY
DISPERSED MARINES AND THEIR FAMILIES (RECRUITERS, INSPECTOR
AND INSTRUCTOR STAFFS, MARINE SECURITY GUARDS, AND MOBILIZED
RESERVISTS), WHO DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO TRADITIONAL
BASE/STATION SUPPORT SERVICES. FOR THOSE MARINES AND THEIR
FAMILIES ASSIGNED AT OR NEAR OUR INSTALLATIONS, MCCS ONE SOURCE
GIVES ADDITIONAL ACCESS TO INFORMATION AND RESOURCES AVAILABLE
THROUGH VARIOUS ON-SITE PROGRAMS.

3. ELIGIBILITY. MCCS ONE SOURCE IS AVAILABLE TO ACTIVE DUTY
AND RESERVE MARINES (SMCR, IMA, AND AR) AND THEIR FAMILY MEMBERS.
THE SERVICE WILL ALSO SUPPORT NAVY PERSONNEL SERVING WITH MARINE
CORPS UNITS, OCONUS CIVILIANS WITH SOFA STATUS, AND MCCS PERSONAL
SERVICES AND MARINE CORPS RECRUITING COMMAND'S QUALITY OF LIFE
STAFF.
4. AT BASES AND STATIONS, MARINES WILL CONTINUE TO BE PROVIDED
INFORMATION AND SERVICES FROM MARINE CORPS COMMUNITY SERVICES'
FAMILY TEAM BUILDING AND PERSONAL SERVICES PROGRAMS. MCCS ONE
SOURCE IS AN ADDED TOOL FOR OUR LEADERS AND PROGRAM STAFFS
TO BETTER SERVE THE NEEDS OF OUR MARINES AND THEIR FAMILIES.
PROGRAM STAFF CAN PRESENT COMMAND BRIEFS, PROVIDE ADDITIONAL
INFORMATION, REFERRALS, AND OFFER SAMPLE MATERIALS FOR REVIEW.
5. SUPPORTING PERSONAL AND FAMILY READINESS IS ONE OF THE TENETS
THAT WE ARE DEEPLY COMMITTED TO AS IT DIRECTLY RELATES TO OUR MISSION
READINESS. COMMANDERS SHALL ENSURE THAT ALL MARINES, REGARDLESS OF
WHERE THEY ARE STATIONED, RECEIVE THE WORD ON MCCS ONE SOURCE.
