GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  THIS COURSE IS DESIGNED FOR OFFICERS (COMMANDERS AND KEY STAFF/DEPARTMENT HEADS 0-3 THROUGH 0-6) AND THEIR SENIOR ENLISTED ADVISORS (E-7 THROUGH E-9) AND CIVILIANS INCLUDING LEGAL OFFICERS, CHAPLAINS, AND INSPECTOR GENERAL PERSONNEL IN LEADERSHIP POSITIONS.
2.  THE SEMINAR IS CONDUCTED IN A JOINT SERVICE ENVIRONMENT.  IT IS DESIGNED TO ALLOW SENIOR LEADERS SERVING IN KEY ORGANIZATIONAL POSITIONS AN OPPORTUNITY TO EXPLORE EVOLVING HUMAN RELATIONS AND EQUAL OPPORTUNITY/EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY (EO/EEO) ISSUES TO GAIN AN UNDERSTANDING OF THEIR IMPACTS UPON UNIT COHESION AND MISSION EFFECTIVENESS.  THE PROGRAM IS DIVIDED INTO THE FOLLOWING TOPICS: SOCIALIZATION AND VALUES, DYNAMICS OF POWER, SEXISM, SEXUAL HARASSMENT, LEADING A CULTURALLY DIVERSE WORKFORCE, CONTEMPORARY EO/EEO ISSUES, AND FUTURE FOCUS.  THE TRAINING METHODOLOGY IS INTERACTIVE LECTURES, VIDEO PRESENTATIONS FOLLOWED BY DISCUSSIONS, CASE STUDY AND SCENARIO SOLVING, AND FACILITATED ACTION PLANNING.

4.  A LIMITED NUMBER OF QUOTAS HAVE BEEN MADE AVAILABLE TO THE MARINE CORPS FOR EACH SEMINAR.  INDIVIDUALS REQUESTING SEATS MUST SUBMIT THEIR REQUEST VIA THEIR CHAIN OF COMMAND TO THEIR EQUAL OPPORTUNITY ADVISOR (EOA).  THE EOA WILL SUBMIT THE REQUEST TO CMC (MPE) FOR REGISTRATION.  THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS REQUIRED ON EACH REQUEST TO BE CONSIDERED FOR A SEMINAR SEAT:  SEMINAR DATE, NAME, RANK, SSN, SECURITY CLEARANCE, DUTY POSITION, COMPLETE DUTY MAILING ADDRESS, E-MAIL, DSN AND COMMERCIAL DUTY PHONE NUMBER, AND GENDER (FOR BILLETING PURPOSES).  CMC (MPE) WILL NOTIFY THE EOA OF THE INDIVIDUALS SELECTED TO ATTEND THE LTAS.
5.  FUNDING IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE ATTENDEE'S COMMAND AND ATTENDEES SHOULD BRING SUFFICIENT FUNDS TO DEFRAY EXPENSES.
6.  BILLETING WILL BE ARRANGED BY DEOMI.  ATTENDEES MUST REPORT NET 1500 AND NLT 2359 ON THE REPORT DATE TO THE SPACE COAST INN, PATRICK AFB, FL.  DEPARTURE SHOULD NOT BE ARRANGED PRIOR TO 1800 ON THE OUT-PROCESS DATE.  THE UNIFORM OF THE DAY IS CIVILIAN BUSINESS ATTIRE.
7.  TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE ATTENDEE. IF TRAVELING BY AIR, RECOMMEND ARRIVING INTO MELBOURNE, FL, OR ORLANDO, FL.  AUTHORIZATION FOR A RENTAL CAR IS RECOMMENDED AS ADVANTAGEOUS DUE TO LOCATION OF LODGING AND EATING ESTABLISHMENTS.
