GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. THE PURPOSE OF THIS MARADMIN IS TO SOLICIT ACTIVE COMPONENT (AC) APPLICATIONS FOR BEHAVIORAL HEALTH BRANCH STAFF NONCOMMISSIONED OFFICER (SNCO) POSITIONS.
2. MANPOWER AND RESERVE AFFAIRS (MRA) IS SOLICITING NOMINATIONS FOR PERMANENT ASSIGNMENT OF QUALIFIED SNCOS WHO WILL SUPPORT PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT, FACILITATION, AND SUSTAINMENT WITHIN THE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH BRANCH (MFC), MARINE AND FAMILY PROGRAMS DIVISION (MF), MRA, HQMC. MFC OVERSEES FIVE PROGRAMS; COMBAT AND OPERATIONAL STRESS CONTROL, FAMILY ADVOCACY PROGRAM, SEXUAL ASSAULT PREVENTION AND RESPONSE, SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND PREVENTION, AND SUICIDE PREVENTION. THE POSITIONS INCLUDE:
A. MASTER SERGEANT OR MASTER GUNNERY SERGEANT (1 POSITION), SEXUAL ASSAULT PREVENTION AND RESPONSE SECTION.
B. SNCO (2 POSITIONS, ANY RANK), TO SUPPORT THE INTEGRATED BRANCH AND/OR FOCUS ON ONE PROGRAM.
3. INDIVIDUALS SUBMITTING FOR THIS BILLET MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING BASIC CRITERIA:
A. STRONG WRITING AND VERBAL SKILLS FOR STRATEGIC PLANNING, DRAFTING POLICY AND PROGRAM CURRICULUM, AND CREATING QUALITY ASSURANCE INITIATIVES.
B. EXCELLENT PRESENTATION SKILLS FOR OPERATIONAL PLANNING TEAMS AND BRIEFINGS TO FORMAL SCHOOLS, SEMINARS, AND SENIOR LEADER SYMPOSIUMS WITHIN THE MARINE CORPS AND HIGHER HEADQUARTERS.
C. MARINE WILL EXTEND OR REENLIST TO MEET A MINIMUM 36 MONTHS OF OBLIGATED SERVICE.
4. ASSIGNMENT INCURS NORMAL PCS OBLIGATIONS. INTERESTED SNCOS MUST SUBMIT THEIR APPLICATION TO CMC (MMEA-85) NLT 1 MAY 2012. A MARADMIN PUBLISHING THE RESULTS WILL BE RELEASED IN MAY 2012. THE SELECTEE WILL BE ORDERED TO REPORT DURING JUNE/JULY 2012.
5. SNCOS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO APPLY IF THEY HAVE ALREADY ACCEPTED SELECTION TO A VOLUNTARY EDUCATION PROGRAM OR REQUIRE SERVICE LIMIT WAIVERS TO EXECUTE PCS/PCA.
A. APPLICANTS FROM ANY MOS ARE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY.
B. MINIMUM TIME ON STATION (TOS) REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET TO PCS.
6. SUBMIT APPLICATIONS THROUGH ADMINISTRATIVE ACTION FORM, STANDARD NAVAL CORRESPONDENCE FORMAT. PACKAGES MUST INCLUDE:
A. AA FORM WITH NAME, SSN, GRADE, CURRENT POSITION, TITLE, ORGANIZATION ADDRESS, WORK TELEPHONE NUMBER, EMAIL ADDRESS, HOME TELEPHONE NUMBER, AND THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT: "I UNDERSTAND THAT THIS OBLIGATION IS TO RUN CONCURRENTLY WITH ANY OBLIGATION PREVIOUSLY INCURRED."
B. CHAIN OF COMMAND ENDORSEMENT THAT INCLUDES REPORTING SENIOR ASSESSMENT OF APPLICANT'S QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ASSIGNMENT.
C. RESUME, BIR, AWARDS, EDUCATION SCREEN, AND BTR.
D. INDIVIDUAL STATEMENT INDICATING THE REASON FOR APPLYING TO THE PROGRAM.
E. COMPLETED AND SIGNED NAVMC 11000 PRIVACY ACT STATEMENT.
F. TRANSCRIPTS ARE NOT REQUIRED.
7. APPLICATIONS WILL BE SCREENED FOR TOS REQUIREMENTS, CAREER PROGRESSION, PROMOTION, CAREER DESIGNATION, ETC., BY THE APPLICANT'S PRIMARY MOS MONITOR, THE CAREER COUNSELING SECTION, AND HEAD MMEA, PRIOR TO THE FINAL SELECTION PROCESS.
8. ALL APPLICANTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING THEIR APPLICATIONS ARRIVE AT HQMC PRIOR TO THE DEADLINE. LATE PACKAGES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
9. THIS MARADMIN IS NOT APPLICABLE TO THE MARINE CORPS RESERVE.
