2. EVERY HQMC FUNDED STUDENT AFTER RECEIPT OF THIS MSG WILL RECEIVE AN LOA UNDER THEIR SSN FOR THEIR DTS TRAVEL SUBMISSION. STUDENTS WHO DO NOT RECEIVE LOA INFO MUST CONTACT MR RONALD B. WILLIAMS AT 703 695-7478. AFTER COMPLETION OF THE COURSE EACH FUNDED STUDENT SHALL PROVIDE A COPY OF LIQUIDATION TRAVEL VOUCHER SUMMARY TO INCLUDE AIR FARE RECEIPTS AMOUNTS NLT 29 JULY 2011.
3. ANY STUDENT WHO IS REQUIRED TO DROP FROM THE CLASS MUST NOTIFY THE POC AS SOON AS POSSIBLE BY NAVAL MESSAGE, EMAIL, OR TELEPHONE SO THAT A REPLACEMENT CAN BE IDENTIFIED.
4. STUDENTS SHOULD REFER TO THE INFORMATION PACKAGE PROVIDED BY PENN STATE UNIVERSITY FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION. STUDENTS WILL CONFIRM RESERVATIONS WITH PENN STATE USING THE ASSIGNED CONFIRMATION NUMBER ONCE PROVIDED FROM THE PENN STATE EXECUTIVE PROGRAM COORDINATOR. IAW REF C, GOVERNMENT MESSING IS NOT AVAILABLE.
5. POV TRAVEL TO AND FROM STATE COLLEGE IS AUTHORIZED WHEN ADVANTAGEOUS TO THE GOVERNMENT; HOWEVER, MILEAGE IN AND AROUND THE STATE COLLEGE AREA DURING THE COURSE IS NOT REIMBURSABLE. POV IS HIGHLY ENCOURAGED FOR EAST COAST STUDENTS.
6. HQMC WILL NOT FUND RENTAL VEHICLES. RENTAL VEHICLES PROCURED WILL EITHER BE FUNDED BY THE INDIVIDUAL STUDENT OR THEIR PARENT COMMAND. ORDERS WITH RENTAL VEHICLES FUNDED BY PARENT COMMANDS MUST INCLUDE A LINE OF APPROPRIATION SPECIFYING RENTAL CAR ONLY.
7. STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO MAKE FLIGHT ARRANGEMENTS IMMEDIATELY AND COORDINATE SHUTTLE TRANSPORTATION SERVICE REQUIREMENTS DIRECTLY WITH PENN STATE. SHUTTLE SERVICE WILL BE PROVIDED TO AND FROM THE LOCAL AIRPORT REGARDLESS OF POINT OF ORIGIN OR ARRIVAL TIME. PRIOR COORDINATION IS ESSENTIAL.
8. DURING THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS, THE TECOM POC WILL PROVIDE THE TEXTBOOK "INTRODUCTION TO SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT" FOR USE BY THE STUDENTS DURING MCLEP. THE BOOK IS ASSIGNED AS READING DURING THE COURSE AND STUDENTS SHOULD PLAN ON READING ONE CHAPTER PER NIGHT. ADDITIONALLY, STUDENTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO WRITE A PROFESSIONAL PAPER, TOPICS WILL BE DISCUSSED ON 12 JUNE 2011.
