GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. THE PURPOSE OF THIS MARADMIN IS TO RE-ALIGN THE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENIOR LEADER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (SLDP) IN ORDER TO COMPLY WITH THE SINGLE SOURCE INSTITUTION CONCEPT OUTLINED WITHIN GREEN LETTER 01-04; REDUCE OR ELIMINATE CURRENT ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATION AND REDUNDANCIES; AND INCREASE PARTICIPATION THROUGHPUT. EFFECTIVE 31 JANUARY 2011, SLDP ADMINISTRATIVE AND SCHEDULING TASKS ARE RETURNED TO TRAINING AND EDUCATION COMMAND, MARINE COPRS UNIVERSITY (MCU), LEJEUNE LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE (LLI). THIS MARADMIN SUPERSEDES MARADMIN 207/06.
2. REF A ESTABLISHED THE SLDP IN ORDER TO PROVIDE STRUCTURE TO THE PROFESSIONAL GROWTH AND ASSIGNMENT STRATEGY FOR GENERAL OFFICERS AND SENIOR EXECUTIVE SERVICE (GO/SES) PERSONNEL. AS A SOURCE FOR MANAGING SENIOR LEADER EDUCATIONAL MATTERS, THE SLDP SERVES AS THE ADVOCATE FOR GO/SES CONTINUING EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES.
3. M AND RA (MMSL) WILL PROVIDE TIMELY ANNUAL SCHEDULING DEVELOPMENT ADVICE AND COORDINATION WITH THE LLI BASED UPON KNOWN OR PROJECTED GO/SES FUTURE ASSIGNMENTS, BOARDS, AND CONFLICTING ACTIVITIES.
4. MCU (LLI) WILL ASSUME ALL ADMINISTRATIVE AND SCHEDULING RESPONSIBILITIES FOR SLDP AND WILL SERVE AS THE PRIMARY INTERMEDIARY BETWEEN PARTICIPANTS AND COURSE INSTITUTIONS. LLI WILL RESEARCH AND RECOMMEND GO/SES DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES; ADMINISTER AND EVALUATE EXISTING AND EVOLVING SENIOR LEADER DEVELOPMENT PROCESSES; AND INCORPORATE NEW AND INNOVATIVE PROGRAMS AS APPROPRIATE.
