GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  PER THE REFERENCES, THIS MESSAGE ANNOUNCES STUDY NOMINATION RESULTS AND THE MARINE CORPS STUDIES MASTER PLAN FOR THE FY09 FOURTH QUARTER AND FY10 FIRST QUARTER CALL FOR STUDIES.
2.  TIER I STUDIES ARE CONSIDERED APPROPRIATE STUDIES THAT MEET THE CRITERIA PROVIDED IN REFERENCE (A) AS DELINEATED BY CMC AND CG MCCDC AND WILL COMMENCE ASAP. THE FOLLOWING STUDIES ARE ACCEPTED FOR TIER I:

3.  TIER II NOMINATIONS ARE THOSE FOUND TO BE SOUND ANALYTICALLY AND WORTHY OF EXECUTION, BUT NOT COMPETITIVE WITH TIER I STUDIES IN SOME RESPECT.  TIER II STUDIES MAY BE EXECUTED, CONTINGENT UPON AVAILABLE RESOURCES. THE FOLLOWING STUDY IS ACCEPTED FOR TIER II:  - RESERVE RECRUITING.
4.  THE OAD ACTION OFFICER/STUDY LEAD  OR CNA  PROJECT DIRECTOR APPOINTED TO THE ACCEPTED TIER ONE AND TIER TWO STUDIES WILL CONTACT THE AGENCY POC AS PROVIDED IN THE STUDY NOMINATION TO BEGIN PREPARATION OF NECESSARY DOCUMENTATION FOR STUDY EXECUTION.

8.  PER REFERENCE (B), MARINE CORPS COMMANDS AND AGENCIES THAT HAVE COMMISSIONED STUDIES AND ANALYSES OUTSIDE OF THE MARINE CORPS STUDIES SYSTEM (MCSS) ARE REQUESTED TO NOTIFY OAD (C 19) OF SUCH INITIATIVES, TO INCLUDE THE PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THEIR RESPECTIVE EFFORTS.  ADDITIONALLY, ELECTRONIC COPIES OF COMPLETED STUDIES AND ANALYTICAL EFFORTS SHALL BE PROVIDED TO OAD (C 19) FOR INCLUSION INTO THE USMC REPOSITORY.  THIS CAN BE ACCOMPLISHED BY CONTACTING THE POC PROVIDED BELOW.
