GENTEXT/REMARKS/-1.  THE FY10 MARINE CORPS MUSIC LEADERSHIP SYMPOSIUM WILL BE HELD 14-16 DEC 2009 AT THE PALMER HOUSE HILTON HOTEL, 17 EAST MONROE STREET CHICAGO, ILLINOIS 60603, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE 2009 MIDWEST INTERNATIONAL BAND AND ORCHESTRA CLINIC.
2.  PERSONNEL ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND THE SYMPOSIUM ARE BAND OFFICERS; MSGTS AND ABOVE WITH A PMOS OF 5512 OR 5524; GYSGTS AND ABOVE WITH AN NMOS OF 5523; MARINES FILLING A BANDMASTER BILLET; AND ALL CURRENT MUSICIAN TECHNICAL ASSISTANTS.
3.  SYMPOSIUM PARTICIPANTS WILL REVIEW AND ESTABLISH THE STANDARDS, POLICIES, AND FUTURE OBJECTIVES FOR MARINE CORPS MUSIC.  THE FIRST EVENT WILL TAKE PLACE AT 0800, 14 DEC 2009 IN THE PALMER HOUSE, 6TH FLOOR, BALLROOM.
4.  ALL ATTENDEES ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND THE PROFESSIONAL AWARDS DINNER SCHEDULED FOR 15 DEC 2008 AT WILDFIRE RESTAURANT, 159 WEST ERIE STREET, CHICAGO, ILLINOIS 60610.
5.  PERSONNEL ARE REQUIRED TO MAKE THEIR OWN RESERVATIONS AT THE PALMER HOUSE AT (877) 865-5321.
6.  TRAVEL WILL BE FUNDED BY LOCAL COMMAND.  TAD ORDERS WILL BE NON-REPORTING AND MUST INCLUDE A STATEMENT THAT USE OF GOVERNMENT QUARTERS IS DIRECTED IF AVAILABLE.  GOVERNMENT MESSING IS NOT DIRECTED AS IT WOULD ADVERSELY AFFECT THE MISSION.
7.  THE UNIFORM OF THE DAY FOR SYMPOSIUM WORKING SESSIONS WILL BE BUSINESS CASUAL.  THE UNIFORM FOR THE PROFESSIONAL DINNER IS BLUE DRESS "A" OR EVENING DRESS.
