GENTEXT/REMARKS/1.  PURPOSE.  TO ANNOUNCE THE ANNUAL MARINE CORPS FIELD CONTRACTING SYSTEM (MCFCS) SENIOR LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE.
2.  DISCUSSION.  ON BEHALF OF THE DIRECTOR, CONTRACTING DIVISION, INSTALLATIONS AND LOGISTICS IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THE ANNUAL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE TO BE HELD FROM THE 24 TO 26 FEBRUARY 09, AT CAMP LEJEUNE, NORTH CAROLINA.  VENUE IS THE PARADISE POINT OFFICERS CLUB.  REGISTRATION INFORMATION WILL BE PROVIDED VIA SEPARATE CORRESPONDENCE.
3.  THE INTENT OF THIS MARADMIN IS TO ANNOUNCE THE CONFERENCE AND SOLICIT AGENDA ITEMS.  DURING THIS IMPORTANT WEEK, HQMC CONTRACTS DIVISION WILL PRESENT INFORMATION ON KEY CONTRACTING INITIATIVES GEARED TOWARD IMPROVING THE BUSINESS DECISIONS OF THE MCFCS.
4.  ATTENDEES ARE ENCOURAGED TO SUBMIT AGENDA ITEMS FOR INCLUSION. ALL SUBMISSIONS MUST BE RECEIVED NLT 30 JANUARY 09.  ALL PROPOSED AGENDA ITEMS/TOPICS MUST BE SUBMITTED VIA EMAIL TO MAJ MCCOMAS, EMAIL MICHAEL.T.MCCOMAS@USMC.MIL, CC MGYSGT LERMA, EMAIL MARICELA.LERMA@USMC.MIL.  FORMAT FOR SUBMISSION IS AS FOLLOWS:

5.  THE CONFERENCE IS SCHEDULED FOR 3 DAYS.  23 FEBRUARY AND 27 FEBRUARY 09 SHOULD BE SCHEDULED AS THE TRAVEL DATES FOR ATTENDEES. THE CONFERENCE WILL END NLT 1700, ON 27 FEBRUARY 09, TO ALLOW FOR RETURN TRAVEL. 
6.  CONTRACTING DIVISION, I&L AGREES TO FUND TRAVEL FOR ONE ATTENDEE FROM EACH OF THE MAJOR CONTRACTING COMMANDS;  HOWEVER EACH OFFICE IS ENCOURAGED TO BRING AN ADDITIONAL PERSON USING LOCAL FUNDING. PLEASE SUBMIT THE NAME OF THE I&L FUNDED TRAVELER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE TO MSGT PALMA, EMAIL PABLO.PALMA@USMC.MIL AND MR. LARRY RICE, EMAIL, LAWRENCE.RICE@USMC.MIL .  ADDITIONALLY, WHEN TRAVELERS DTS TRAVEL AUTHORIZATION IS BOOKED, CONTACT MR. RONNIE WILLIAMS (DSN:  225-2478, COMMERCIAL 703-695-7478) FOR THE DTS LINE OF ACCOUNTING (09 LOG ADVOC LB).  PLEASE NOTE THAT PER DIEM CANNOT BE CLAIMED IF MEALS ARE PROVIDED.   LODGING FOR 30 PERSONNEL WILL BE AT THE PARADISE POINT BOQ.  ONCE NAMES ARE COMPILED I&L SHALL CONFIRM WITH BOQ THEN ATTENDEES SHALL CONTACT BOQ FOR INDIVIDUAL RESERVATION.
