MARINE CORPS PUBLIC AFFAIRS LEADERS CONFERENCE AT THE MENGER HOTEL
IN SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS FROM 12-14 AUG 2008. THE CONFERENCE RUNS
CONCURRENTLY WITH THE U.S. MARINE CORPS COMBAT CORRESPONDENTS
ASSOCIATION CONFERENCE (USMCCCA). USMCCCA CONFERENCE INFORMATION
WILL BE SENT VIA SEPCOR; POC FOR THE USMCCCA CONFERENCE IS MR. JACK

2. THE USMC PA LEADERS CONFERENCE AGENDA WILL INCLUDE THE USMC
PUBLIC AFFAIRS STRATEGIC PLAN, OIF AND OEF LESSONS LEARNED, THE NEW
PA INTRANET AND MARINES BROADCASTING, AND UPDATES ON THE PA
EQUIPMENT AQUISITION PROCESS. BRIEFINGS, DISCUSSIONS AND GUEST
SPEAKERS RELEVANT TO THE PA OCCUPATIONAL FIELD WILL RUN CONCURRENT
WITH THE USMCCCA CONFERENCE.
3. ALL PA DIRECTORS AND PA CHIEFS ARE HIGHLY ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND
THE USMC PA LEADERS CONFERENCE. THE NEXT SENIOR PA REP IS WELCOME TO
ATTEND IF THE DIRECTOR OR PA CHIEF IS UNABLE TO ATTEND.
PARTICIPATION IS UNIT FUNDED WITH GOVERNMENT CREDIT CARDS USED FOR
OFFICIAL TRAVEL.
4. CONFERENCE ATTIRE IS BUSINESS CASUAL. THE UNIFORM FOR THE AWARDS
DINNER IS DRESS BLUE BRAVO OR SERVICE ALPHA.
5. THE USMCCCA AWARDS DINNER AND CEREMONY IS THURSDAY, 14 AUGUST
STARTING AT 1830. THE USMCCCA AWARDS DINNER IS AN OFFICIAL PART OF
THE CONFERENCE.
6. RECOMMEND PARTICIPANTS ARRIVE NLT THE AFTERNOON OF 11 AUG. THE
CONFERENCE WILL COMMENCE PROMPTLY AT 0730, 12 AUG. THE USMC PA
LEADERS CONFERENCE ENDS AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE AWARDS DINNER ON
THE 14TH. ATTENDEES SHOULD PLAN TO DEPART FRIDAY AUG 15.
