GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. THE 2005 CISM JUDO CHAMPIONSHIP WILL BE HOSTED
IN ST. PETERSBURG, RUSSIA, 16-24 JULY. A TRAINING CAMP WILL BE
CONDUCTED AT MCB QUANTICO, VA 5-15 JULY. USMC IS THE RESPONSIBLE
SERVICE FOR ALL LOGISTICS REGARDING THE CAMP AND TRAVEL TO THE
CHAMPIONSHIP. THE FOLLOWING WILL APPLY:
A. ALL TEAM MEMBERS MUST POSSESS A CURRENT PASSPORT TO
PARTICIPATE IN THIS EVENT. PASSPORTS EXPIRING WITHIN 90 DAYS FROM
24 JULY MUST BE RENEWED. ALL TEAM MEMBERS MUST PROVIDE AN
ADDITIONAL PASSPORT SIZE PHOTO. THIS PHOTO IS REQUIRED FOR
THE RUSSIAN VISA APPLICATION.
B. TEAM MEMBERS TRAVELING BY AIR TRANSPORTATION MUST ARRIVE AT
WASHINGTON DULLES AIRPORT ON 5 JULY BETWEEN 1500-1645. RECOMMENDED
TRAVEL ITINERARIES WILL BE FORWARDED TO THE APPROPRIATE SERVICE
REPRESENTATIVE. LOCAL TRANSPORTATION WILL BE PROVIDED BY MCB
QUANTICO, VA.
C. BILLETING AT TRAINING CAMP WILL BE PROVIDED BY USMC AT
LIVERSEDGE HALL, QUANTICO, VA.
D. ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST ATTEND A LEVEL-I ANTI-TERRORISM BRIEF
BEFORE TRAVELING TO THE COMPETITION. THIS BRIEF WILL BE CONDUCTED
AT MCB QUANTICO, VA.
E. ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BRING THEIR SUMMER DRESS MILITARY
UNIFORM (SERVICE SUMMER WHITES FOR THE NAVY, CLASS B FOR THE ARMY,
SERVICE C FOR THE MARINE CORPS, AND SERVICE DRESS SHORT SLEEVE FOR
THE AIR FORCE). THIS UNIFORM IS REQUIRED APPAREL FOR OFFICIAL
FUNCTIONS (OPENING CEREMONY AND CLOSING RECEPTION) CONDUCTED AS PART
OF THIS CISM EVENT. ANY INDIVIDUAL NOT POSSESSING HIS UNIFORM WHEN
REPORTING TO THE TRAINING CAMP WILL BE REQUIRED TO PURCHASE ONE ON
SITE, OR BE IMMEDIATELY RETURNED TO HIS DUTY STATION. ALL
INDIVIDUALS MUST ALSO BRING ONE PAIR OF KHAKI PANTS (TAN) TO WEAR
WITH THE ISSUED ARMED FORCES POLO SHIRTS DURING CULTURAL DAY AND
OTHER DESIGNATED EVENTS. KHAKI PANTS AND CIVILIAN POLO SHIRT WILL
BE THE OFFICIAL UNIFORM FOR THE DAYS OF TRAVEL TO THE EVENT.
F. AS WE DO NOT KNOW FINAL ARRANGEMENT FOR LODGING ACCOMMODATIONS
AND AMENITIES IN ST. PETERSBURG, IT IS STRONGLY SUGGESTED INDIVIDUALS
BRING A BATH TOWEL, BAR OF SOAP, BASIC TOILETRIES, AND A PADLOCK.
G. INDIVIDUALS WILL RECEIVE $29.25 PER DIEM FOR TRAVEL DAY TO MCB
QUANTICO (BASED ON 75% OF JTR RATE WHILE IN TRAVEL STATUS).
INDIVIDUALS WILL ALSO RECEIVE $8 PER DAY PERSONAL MAINTENANCE
EXPENSE ALLOWANCE FOR EACH DAY IN ATTENDANCE AT THE TRAINING CAMP.
INDIVIDUALS WILL RECEIVE $76.50 PER DAY WHILE ON TRAVEL STATUS TO ST.
PETERSBURG, RUSSIA (THREE DAYS TOTAL DUE TO TIME ZONE CHANGE).
INDIVIDUALS WILL RECEIVE $3.50 PERSONAL MAINTENANCE EXPENSE
ALLOWANCE FOR THE DAYS ON SITE AT THE CISM CHAMPIONSHIP (HOST
COUNTRY WILL PROVIDE LODGING AND MESSING).
H. THE MARINE CORPS SPORTS OFFICE WILL PROVIDE AIRLINE TICKETS TO
ST. PETERSBURG, RUSSIA AND THEN TO HOME STATION AT THE
COMPLETION OF THE CHAMPIONSHIP (24 JULY). ITINERARIES WILL BE MADE
AVAILABLE PENDING THE TEAM CAPTAIN'S RECEIPT OF TEAM MEMBERS' TRAVEL
ORDERS.
I. ALL PARTICIPANTS WILL RECEIVE ITEMS OF ISSUE FROM THE ARMED
FORCES SPORTS OFFICE. THESE ITEMS MUST ACCOMPANY INDIVIDUALS TO THE
EVENT. ITEMS INCLUDE FOUR TEE SHIRTS, FOUR TRAINING SHORTS, THREE
POLO SHIRTS, AN ARMED FORCES WARM-UP, CAP, A COMPETITIVE UNIFORM, AND
LAPEL PINS. APPAREL INCLUDED IN THESE ITEMS OF ISSUE WILL BE
DESIGNATED AS UNIFORM OF THE DAY AT PRESCRIBED CISM FUNCTIONS. THE
ISSUED ITEMS MUST REMAIN IN THE INDIVIDUAL'S POSSESSION THROUGH THE
CISM CLOSING BANQUET EXCEPT FOR THE LAPEL PINS, THE RED POLO SHIRT,
THE
VISOR, AND TWO TEE SHIRTS. THE EXEMPTED ITEMS MAY BE DISPERSED FOR
PUBLIC RELATIONS UPON ARRIVAL IN THE HOST COUNTRY.
J. IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT ALL COMPETITORS HAVE NECESSARY EQUIPMENT
ON HAND TO PARTICIPATE IN THESE EVENTS. THE COMPETITIVE UNIFORM,
COMPETITIVE GEAR, AND PASSPORT MUST BE PACKED IN CARRY-ON BAG.
K. PARTICIPANTS WILL BE SUBJECT TO FORMAL DOPING CONTROLS IN
ACCORDANCE WITH WORLD ANTI-DOPING AGENCY (WADA) REGULATIONS.

MARINES LISTED ABOVE WILL RECEIVE TRAVEL ORDERS FROM HQMC (MRS) ALONG
WITH FLIGHT ITINERARIES.//
